Getting the #Brexit ducks in a row – or not? A Facebook friend asked how we want our #Brexit today – boiled, fried, roasted … my immediate thoughts were that it is to me, half-baked, par-boiled, and conversely, paradoxically, burnt and battered, leaving many of us bewildered, and anxious, whichever side of the divide we stand. AI policy is anti-democratic for the same reasons as large-scale AI being anti-democratic - companies have money, so they can build teams to turn up at meetings all the time and slowly move the overton window. It's hard to do this if it's not your dayjob.
@michaelSteele, former head of the RNC / GOP before @GOPChairwoman, when it was still semi-sane, trolls @RepMTG who was calling Scott Perry after the #FBI confiscated his phone. #LockHerUp #TrumpCult #DemVoice1
People wildly underestimate how much influence individuals can have in policy. I've had a decent amount of impact by just turning up and working on the same core issues (measurement and monitoring) for multiple years. This is fun, but also scares the shit out of me.

Well, I'm a bit sad the dragon has gone.
Oh the dragon hasn’t gone Mary…only the barriers to enjoying and relishing the spirit and courage of the inner dragon, with the inner self emerging, authentic. 🙂
A good, thought provoking read as always Christine 🙂
Thanks for sharing and happy Chinese new year.
Thank you Sarah, glad you were provoked…always a pleasure to share.
Peeling back the layers…digging deep to find the true self…this can be applied to life in so many ways. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Lisa, it’s important for people to be authentic, to be really themselves, rather than wear masks and layers and cover up the beauty of what they truly are. very young children usually have a curiosity, a liveliness, a joie de vivre and exuberance which is evident, but sometimes their circumstances lead to the suppression of this joy, and the ‘system’ can mean that they are stopped – don’t make a noise, don’t ask questions etc etc.
We need more people to be able to be themselves, unafraid of being human, and seeing beyond the obvious and also knowing how much we don’t know…
It's lovely! And such a beautiful message. You're super talented… thanks for sharing.
Thank you Suzanne, I am glad you think it’s lovely. And what a wonderful compliment, writing poetry and poetic prose is something I absolutely love to do, and if it gives pleasure to others as well, then I am doubly blessed. 🙂
Fascinating. What a great story. Thanks for sharing it!
My pleasure Yolanda, delighted to have fascinated you!
Beautiful Christine! Innocent and revealing. Reminds me of a reflective piece of crystal that you could simply look at and gain insight from.
